There are many sections of the Wales Coast Path that have been specially designated as parts of the UK Cycle Network. This is a fantastic chance to discover coastal path and all it has to offer – which is great riding and even greater scenery. Although mainly on the flat, traffic free and on a hard surface it is perfect for everyone. Dont forget though – it’s always to get off your bike and take a look around , visit attractions and engage in seaside activities and, because they pass through major towns and seaside resorts it is easily accessible.
The coastal path follows the coastline all around Wales. So you can always do a tour of the whole country – a ‘Tour De Wales’ if you like. It covers approx 850 miles and would make for a great cycling holiday. Each night a different town in a new B&B , hotel or if you want total independence then there is always a campsite nearby. Personally – a nice warm bed is much better to rest those aching bones and muscles.
