Cardiff – Capital city of Wales and there is lots to see and do here. This page is here to help give you some information with regards to Whats On. It seems Cardiff has now established itself a major sporting event city. International Rugby, Cardiff City Football, Wales football home – the Cardiff City Stadium. International Cricket Test Matches as well as the 20/20 Cricket at Sophia Gardens and a whole host of other sporting events.
It’s not just sport though – Cardiff is a default stop for all touring bands from the Coldplay, U2, Madonna etc to smaller intimate gigs with some old bands deciding to go back on the road (Royalties run out more likely….) The Tramshed, The Globe, Club Ivor, The Students Union and a whole host of other small independent music venues always have something on. Not forgetting the Internationally famous Millenium Centre – home of the Welsh National Opera and countless Broadway and London shows
Cardiff also now hosts conferences, political rallies, trade shows etc – these are usually at the Motorpoint arena, Sophia Gardens, City Hall and a whole host of other venues.
If none of the above tickles your fancy – then you can just go shopping instead, there is everything and anything to suit every fashion taste and budget. Large high street retailers as well as countless small independent and ‘quirty’ shops in the Victorian arcades of Cardiff.
There is more to Wales than just Cardiff. Wales is filled with thousands interesting places to discover and explore. Dont take our word for it though – please browse the site to learn more.
